Albert Einstein (1879-1955), the world famous German-American scientist, was the inaugurator and founder of the modern physics. Einstein graduated from Polytechnic school in Zurich in 1900 and started teaching in colleges. In 1914 he took the position of the director of William Royal Physics Research Institute as well as the professor of Berlin University. He was forced to migrate to U.S. and became the citizen of American in 1940. The end of 19 century was the transforming period for physics, Einstein started from the experimental facts, reinvestigated the basic concept of physics and made fundamental progress on theories. Some of his achievements greatly pushed forword the development of astronomy. His quantum theory had great influence on the astrophysics, especially the theoretical astrophysics. The theory of stellar atmospheres which was the first mature theory of the theoretical astrophysics was founded based on the quantum theory and the Radiation theory. Einstein’s restricted theory of relativity revealed the relation between the energy and the mass successfully, which resolved the long-time existing puzzle of the energy source of the stars. There were no Einstein’s other contributions greater than the theory of Cosmology to the astronomy. He founded the relativistic cosmology, the establishment of a static finite boundless self-consistent kinetic model of the universe, and to introduce the new concept of the cosmological principle, curved space, which greatly promoted the development of the modern astronomy.
